Two weeks through the south west of the USA, from the dazzling Beverly Hills and the movie studios in Hollywood to the spectacular Grand Canyon and the campfire with the indians, you're going to experience the most exciting summer you ever had on an exceptional trip! In addition if you want to take the oppurtunity to learn english, you can do it in the

optional language camp in Los Angeles during two weeks before or after travelling. The perfect present for successful kids! Discover America with our USA travel camp. Like the pioneers in the past, when they crossed the land with their covered wagon searching for adventures. Our travelpartner dispose of a big vehicle fleet specially equipped luxury vans.

 

ACCOMMODATION

We become acquainted with several typical American species of accommodation: Tents for two, the best accommodation for spectacular camp grounds in the american national parcs. The rustical cabins are a typical American accommodation with 4 beds as an general rule. Hotel: 4 bed rooms (optional 2

beds) for the comfort in between an as an ideal and central accommodation in cities of our itinerary. We offer aware just only half-board, to make sure that the participators can taste several food variations and choose their food affectations and budgets . We also buy and prepare a lot of meals together (incl.), Average one meal per day is independent and payed from the participants themselfs (food kitty required).

An spectacular tour through the south west of the USA with countless highlights and adventures. New and unique for kids! Meeting point is airport Los Angeles, schedule maybe subject to change.

English Immersion

Applying English language is daily business! No classes but you speak it with your new friends, group leaders, each time you order a double burger at McDonalds.


TRIP SCHEDULE (2 weeks)

 

Welcome on our unique tour across the most spectcular area of the USA, passing the fours states California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada with 3 typical American accomodations: hotel, cabins, tents.

 

Day 1 - Saturday: Los Angeles. Arrival in the afternoon or evening in Los Angeles and transfer from the airport. Welcome meeting at the hotel.

Day 2 - Sunday: Los Angeles. City tour, exploring Hollywood (Walk of Fame, Man's Chinese Theater) and Beverly Hills. Maybe having a glace at Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie! Visit of Universal Film Studios and looking at the famous settings and locations.

Day 3 -  Monday: San Diego. After a short drive we arrive in San Diego. Swimming at famous Mission Beach and shopping.

Day 4 - Tuesday: San Diego. Visit of historic spanish "Old Town" and theme park Sea World!

Day 5 - Wednesday: Lake Havasu. Trip to Lake Havasu and visit of rebuilt "London Bridge", swimming in the lake and barbeque in front of our tents.

Day 6- Thursday: Grand Canyon. Along famous historic Route 66 to one of the most famous nature wonders, the Grand Canyon. Hiking and visit of Imax cinema.

Day 7 - Friday: Lake Powell. Journey through deserted landscape to Lake Powell and Glen Canyon. Hiking or optional horse riding in western ranch in Kanab.

Day 8 - Saturday: Monument Valley. Entering the famous "Marlboro" country, belonging to the Navajo indians who organise a traditional cultural show for us.

Day 9 - Sunday: Moab. trip to adventure land Moab. Whitewater rafting and western gun show with barbeque are scheduled.

Day 10 - Monday: Moab. Hike in a most astonishing surrounding of Arches national park and explore the beauty of the park.

Day 12 -  Wednesday: Las Vegas. Entering famous gambler and show place Las Vegas, located in the middle of the desert! We see one of the spectacular Las Vegas shows (minors are not allowed to enter casinos).

Day 13 -  Thursday: Los Angeles. Back to Los Angeles, exploring fashionable Vencie Beach (swimming and biking) and Santa Monica.

Day 14 -  Friday: Los Angeles. Full day visit in incredible Disneyland, don't forget your camera!

Day 15 - Saturday: Los Angeles. Transfer to the airport and departure.

 

LANGUAGE CAMP OPTION  (2 weeks, 14- 17 years)

 

Before and after the Round Trip we offer the opportunity to attend our english language camps located at the University of California in Los Angeles.

 

Including:

  • 20  lessons (50min.) per week in apropriate levels

  • Accommodations on campus with full board

  • Daily activities Monday through Friday like Movie Premieres, Santa Monica Pier concert, Getty Center Museum, Sports, Santa Monica Beach, Fossil Museum and Tar Pits

  • Full-day excursions each Sunday

  • Optional Activities and Excursions

  • Certificate of Completion

  • All texts an materials

  • Double room occupancy, full board (breakfast only on Sunday)

  • rooms are furnished with closets, desks, beds and telephones
